In an effort to create a safer workplace, an Econobuild client has deemed one of their largest production facilities to be a forklift-free environment. The challenge presented to Econobuild was to devise a method to properly dispose of waste material that was previously and exclusively transported to waste areas by forklifts. This waste material emanates from numerous filter machines located throughout a 550,000 square foot plant area. Econobuild’s Chip Load-Out System is the proper solution for this dilemma. With the use of self-dumping hopper carts and a heavy-duty bridge crane system to efficiently dispose of the waste, Econobuild found an economical alternative to expensive waste conveyor systems.
